Senior Tourism Europe is presented at the World Congress of Social Tourism

The director of the Europe Senior Tourism project, Elisa Domènech, took part in the World Congress of Social Tourism held in Rimini between 19 and 23 September, where she presented the results of the first edition of the programme and the new developments in the second edition. 

The main theme of the Congress was “Tourism: a time for social policies”, chosen to highlight the importance of the connection between social policies and the tourist industry. This topic was analysed from various different viewpoints and from the contrasting experiences of the participating countries from the continents of America, Europe and Africa. The event was attended by representations from associations, bodies and institutions from the area of social tourism in countries all over the world.
